Career

After graduating, Lewis first worked as the general secretary of the LSE Students’ Union. He then went on to work in the City of London for the Brunswick Group, a financial communications consultancy.

Shortly after graduating in journalism, Lewis became a producer for the BBC Radio Five Live business programmes; and an editor of business slot, in BBC Radio 4’s Today programme. Lewis then moved to satellite channel Simply Money, where he cultivated his “Money Saving Expert” persona. However, the programmed suffered poor viewing and collapsed.
